Pleural effusion

Hi develop plural effusion after having Covid three times. I have been draining for a little under a year around 1100 mL every other day. If not every day would this be caused or be a product of Covid? I have been tested through CT scans and x-rays and biopsies and there’s no sign of any cancers, please advise

The fluid should have been examined for cancer cells. Would your insurance cover a PET scan?

How are you draining fluid? Did it appear anywhere else? I’m very curious as my uncle also has recurring fluid around his heart…now lungs. Hospitalized 3 times. Now on oxygen. I’m not sure why they don’t know what is causing this fluid. It appeared out of nowhere.

He doesn’t have cancer either and no covid that he’s aware of. What tests have you had?
