@22schromi I had plantar facilitis and my doctor gave me an anti inflammatory to take for a short period. Also, she told me to freeze water bottles and roll them back and forth with my feet. Those 2 things along with wearing shoes that have good support and cushioning took care of it for me. That was about 1 year ago. It took maybe 2 weeks to clear up and I've not had it return so far

2 ReactionsI had plantar fascitis a good many years ago. My PT recommended a boot which I wore while sleeping only. It took a few weeks and it worked wonders. It has not ever come back.
I've had it in both feet, ten years apart. It seems
like forever, but it does get better. The above comments are also what I did, but also stretching the foot before getting up. I went to PT and she massaged my foot and had me do light stretching and specific exercises. I'm sure you can find them online. I now have orthotic in my everyday shoes and store bought supports in every shoe I wear. Oh, I also had a cortisone injection in my heel. It's not fun but it did help.
Yes in my experience the electricity treatment took 50% pain away then ultrasound took rest of pain away, then given a gel heel to wear in shoes and told no treadmill, use elliptical, no flip flops, no walking barefoot and wear arch supportive shoes. Years later it came back because I got lax and this time PT used deep tissue massage to tear up muscle
fibers on bottom of foot which worked
Unfortunately the exercises of rolling frozen water bottle under foot and rolling ball under foot didn’t work for me
I used flexible bootlike stretchers that kept the toes curled upward, worn while sleeping, Thermoskin. I wore them for years and they worked wonders. Also I had custom orthotics.
My husband had planters last year. Seemed like he had it forever, tried shots, PT, different shoes, etc…. Shockwave treatment was the game changer. Once he did that and switched to Hoka’s, issue was resolved. Been good for at least 6 months, hope it stays that way.
