Plantar Fasciitis: How did you get rid of it?

Posted by peggyn @peggyn, Jun 22, 2019

I don't know if this is where this should be posted, but I have a few questions. Almost seems like it goes hand and hand with neuropathy.

Have you had it and how did you get rid of it. I have done 2 injections.. I use ice and ice bottle almost nightly, I've massaged, I've purchased special shoes, and I've worn compression sleeves, plus I've done the night splint.. It just won't go away. I know it's because of the atrophy on that calf.
If you've had it please share what worked for you to get rid of it.

I have plantar fasciitis in left foot. I ordered Oofos for relief of this condition, regardless of the fact that it has the toe tipped upward which makes me fall. Sure enough, I tripped forward when I was on my outdoor walk, but I was going faster than my leisurely walk when in my home. However, the correction in my plantar fasciitis is worth walking slower. I felt immediately that my condition was helped. I will always wear them in my home. Better on outside walks to wear my Hoka’s with an arch support sold by podiatrist.

Unusual request: Anyone out there who wears Oofos but having an issue with difference in foot size? I ordered 10’s to accommodate my left foot, but need a 9 for my right foot. If you have the opposite problem let me know☺️ I really need to wear these shoes b/c they actually do correct plantar fasciitis.

@peggyn I posted this before but want to post it again b/c I hate to hear of suffering through something that can be so easily cured. Go to Oofos.com or on Amazon or if you are lucky then a local store that carries the Oofos brand. They are amazing and will cure plantar fasciitis. At least the slides do. I haven’t tried the closed shoe styles yet. If you cannot afford the price, they regularly carry greatly reduced pairs on sale. They are a god-send. I will always have them around now even when my condition gets completely cured just because they are so comfortable.

Thank you. I have seen them advertised before, but never thought of getting them. I will certainly give them a try. I'm going to go look right now.

Hi there.. Do you get the slide or the sandal with the toe divider??

@peggyn. I have the slides. I wish they had half sizes. I wear a 9 1/2. Since I have a wide foot and very high arches, I went with a 10. But on one kinda more stylish pair (the cheetah design) I got the nine. I’m happy with both. And they are very good about returns.

Unfortunately they didn’t work for me.

@tkr1 Did they not fit under snuggly your arch? I get immediate relief. So sorry yours didn’t work.

I walked a lot before all my aches and pains and I have had plantar facsciitis in both feet at years apart. I will have to tell you the only thing that helped really get rid of it was to get cortisone injections in the heels. It helped both separate times. Also my PT told me to get only Brooks running shoes and that has been a game changer

I was told that zappos will sell you 2 different size shoes at no additional cost. Worth a try!
