Pinched Nerve in Arm: Where should I go about this?

Posted by suzanne2 @suzanne2, Sep 17, 2020

Not sure where to go about this but it strongly feels.like I have a pinched nerve that runs from my shoulder down to my hand. The pain is throbbing, aching and it never stops. I do not know where to turn or what to do about it. It is getting more intense and constant. I really need advice on who to go to and if any one else has ever coped with this issue.

@cb772 I have contemplated acupuncture so it is interesting that you found relief through it. Amazing you only needed 2 treatments. Totally worth my looking into.

@suzanne2 i have the exact issue with my right shoulder to fingers, and I tell u,the agony!! And it gets worse and worse. So im booked in for surgery, but for pain relief, the ONLY things that worked was hot water bottle and opioid meds with nerve blockers and OMG. Ive always had this terrible pain and while waiting for surgery im pain free, but still able to function. Hope this helps

You should see an orthopedic doctor who specializes in shoulders. The Rothman Institute in southeast Pennsylvania and NJ has them. Check your local listings and also checkout teaching hospitals.
