Peripheral nerve stimulators

Posted by sparshall @sparshall, Jan 14, 2020

This is a long shot, but I’m looking for people who have used implanted peripheral nerve stimulators (PNS) to control nerve pain. They block the pain signal to the brain. Stimrouter and Stimwave are major brands. These are NOT the same thing as spinal cord stimulators, of which there are many brands. I’m about to have a Stimwave implanted to block intractable pelvic and leg nerve pain.

@spinrosa64 I'm behind on this conversation. Would you mind telling me what brand is your device, and where on your body have they placed the stimulators?

It’s Stemwave PNS They had wanted to put it in my quad but were unable to so I have 2 of them below my knee. Today is 6th day and I am miserable. I would say how happy I am with the stemwave company they have come to my house twice to reprogram. We are giving it 2 more days before making a decision

i haven't seen any comments on this forum about the Sprint PNS, which is supposed to only require the implant for 60 days. Anyone have experience with that? Thanks.

I found no relief from Stemwave PNS. In fact I was glad trial was over
