Parotid gland tumor
I have a parotid gland tumor that's going to have to be removed and I am looking for the best surgeon that does parotidectomys...not sure I spelled that correctly...but I'm sure you get the point. I am very concerned about the possible risks and want to make sure that there aren't any...and of course I don't want a scar. Let me know if anyone out there knows of this perfect surgeon...thanks...Cate

I live in Washington state, and I would reccomend my doctor. Dr Julie Gustufson she's an ear nose throat doctor( located in puyallup) she did an awesome job.
I just had my Partotid gland removed on April 12th. The surgerey went well I only have a small amount of stitches in front of my ear and behind my ear, it won't be noticeable when it heals completely.
The scarry part now is just waiting for the results from the pathologists to see if I need chemo.

1 ReactionI just had my parotid surgery at Mayo in Jacksonville Florida and it went extremely well. My doctor was Dr. John Casler and he is excellent...you want to have someone who is experienced in these kind of surgeries. I know your post is many months old now, I hope that you have found someone who has helped you!
