Anyone had a surgical palatal obturator during surgery?

I haven’t had any issues. I’m careful to not take a big swig of anything altho I’m sure I’ll forget at some point. The whole point of the obturator is to help with drinking and eating and speech and it’s doing all three of those things for me. Best wishes to your husband!!

Thanks for your encouragement. I was on the fence about even having the surgery at my age and stage of life but it has to be done. I hope your husband is successful wtih the device!
