Anyone have any experience with Paired Exchange vouchers?

Hi all. Does anyone have any experience with Paired Exchange vouchers? My donor was approved mid-April but we have not been matched as of mid-July. She'll be starting a new job by the end of summer so would like to donate before that happens. I've heard that I'd "go to the top of the list" if I have a voucher but would I have to wait for a non-directed donor before I'd be matched? Would this extend the amount of time to find a match even more? Thanks.

Edit: I found an article that explained that since I'm in need of transplant, it wouldn't be a voucher situation but instead a Short-Term or Short-Term Swap Saver situation. Does anyone have experience with that? Thanks again.

@2gallonhabit - I wish that I had some experience to share with you. I hope that you hear from your transplant nurse soon, maybe tomorrow, when the workweek begins.
