Pain in inner right thigh
Hi, for the last couple of years I have a pain in my inner right thigh. It feels like the size of a quarter. when I poke it, it feels like I'm poking a bruise.
What is this? I've asked my doctor and she says there is nothing there. I feel like it may be nerves. Thanks for any advice!

It could be an inflamed lymph node. Have you been sick with a virus or bacterial infection recently?

If you have had this for a while, I would think you need an ultrasound or MRI to ensure there is nothing suspicious about the lymph node. It could press on nerves when it is swollen and cause the pain you feel. They can also do a fine needle aspiration biopsy of the lymph node to make sure it is not suspicious.

It's actually mid thigh on the inside and when I was looking at pictures of where lymph nodes are located it doesn't look like they are there.

When I look up lymph nodes in the thigh, I see that there is an area lower on the inner thigh that has them (inguinal lymph nodes). There are also lymph vessels in your thighs that could be inflamed. There are lymph nodes behind and above your knee near the lower part of your thigh (popliteal lymph nodes). You may want to see a hematologist or infectious disease specialist.
