Pain after hysterectomy for endometrial cancer

Posted by jjevitts @jjevitts, Sep 23, 2023

Hi, I’ve posted this question in another group, but I was wondering if anyone here has had pain after having a hysterectomy? I had surgery in July of 2022 and this pain, at times very painful , didn’t start until March. At times it feels like a pulled muscle, or a burning. It sometimes is eased by 800 ibuprofen but not always. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The pain you are experiencing could be a result of scar tissue formation after your surgery.

Thank you so much, that’s what my family Dr is thinking also.

I myself am experiencing the same. I have had two surgical procedures and the pain in my abdomen sucks. Good luck

Jjevitts if the pain becomes unbearable you can try for a laparoscopic adhesion release by a GI or general surgeon.

Thank you so much! I need to ask how scar tissue/ adhesions are diagnosed. I never realized they could be so painful.
