Dr. wants me to reduce delexansoprozal & it's producing nausea

Probably spelled medicine wrong but you get the idea. Dr wants me going from 2 pills a day to 1 pill. Been doing a week and feel terrible. Instead of feeling better 90% of time now nausea 90% of time. Havent heard back from doctor. Thinking of going back to 2 pills daily until Dr. gets back to me. Thoughts???

I don’t think anyone here can offer medical advice, but I do think it’s shameful that your physician has not responded to your question. Have you tried talking with a pharmacist? You didn’t indicate why your doc wants to reduce your med, perhaps there’s a good reason?

That being said, I know if I was feeling better taking two doses rather than one, and my doctor was not responding to me, I would likely go back to taking two doses. Then, I would leave a scathing message for the doctor to call me at once. If he continued to ignore me, I might even make a complaint to the local medical board. I know that sounds harsh, but I just recently had to fire my PCP because he didn’t really seem to give a damn about my care and kept making ridiculous recommendations (tried to Rx a statin when my cholesterol #’s are great, didn’t want to refer me for tests, never once physically examined me, even when I broke my arm/shoulder). You may just need a new, better doctor!
