Odd ear pain when applying moisturizer or makeup
This has been going on for a while, and I've finally decided to try to see if it's weird or not. I am 66 (f) and for several years, I have noticed that when I am applying foundation or moisturizer to my face, as I move my fingers over my skin in a downward motion, directly in front of my right ear, I will experience a sharp pain INSIDE my ear. It never lingers at all. There is absolutely nothing else that I do that causes it. It doesn't always occur. (Perhaps the amount of pressure I use as I am applying the product varies.) However, the pain, though fleeting, is very sharp and I'm just curious if anyone has ever experienced something similar.

@clancymax , please keep us posted on this..what you hear.
I had a tumor removed from my carotid artery, and the morning after, the neurosurgeon physically felt in front of my ear along my hairline. The surgery was in July. I still have pain also when I put on moisturizer (less painful if I use upward light strokes instead of downward; also better for gravity's sake 😀). And have the brief shooting pain into my inner ear.

1 Reaction@gangcarotid1 Well, I haven't dealt with anything like that. I hope your pain eases as you continue to recover.
