Your best bet would be to talk with a dietician. They can help so much. She can help you with proper macros. Carbs are not evil, you need fruit and veggies. You also need to watch fat macros. We all need fat too…the dietician can figure all that out for you…along with the low residue.

I've got different conditions/needs than you, however I can remember when, 16 years ago my transplant team made an appointment with a kidney dietician for me. She explained my nutritional needs and provided help for me to modify my diet after my liver and kidney transplant. Today, I don't recall any of the specifics, but the original changes that I made are still working for me today!
Are you seeing a specialist? That person would be the best one to refer you to a dietician. How do you feel about asking for an appointment with a registered dietician?
