Noisy nasal pillows

Posted by walk4life @walk4life, May 14 11:09am

I have been using my CPAp for 3 months with almost no problems. Last night it seemed that the nasal pillows were wheezing and whistling. I tried tightening the mask. My machine was not reporting a leak. I ended up taking it off after i was awakened twice by the noise. When i checked the scores this am, it showed a good mask seal20/20. I had my lowest usage hours ever - 3 hours and 10 minutes. Any ideas as to what would be causing the noise? I am scheduled for my 90 day replacement of hose and mask later this week.

It may be time to change them. After a while they get stretched and seem to make noise and not work as well

An update to my original post. I used my machine Tuesday night and it did not have the noise. Not sure what is going on, but my new nose and pillow should be here this week. I did fiddle with the area around where the pillows connect to the sides.
