I had very similar biopsy results. Gleason 8 grade group 4, but when my decifer test came back it was 47 not as aggressive as they first thought, but still concerned. This past Wednesday, I had my Fiducial markers placed and Barrigel. I go for my radiation simulation on the 14th of October. Good luck in this crazy club.

1 ReactionSorry you are in the club now. Although none of us are physicians, there is a lot of good, caring, information here.
And as Groucho Marx once said, “I refuse to be a member of a club that would have me as a member”!!!
Welcome and I hope you find it educational and useful.
The club is full of knowledge. You can compare your situation to others. It’s educational, but I prefer the MICKEY MOUSE CLUB- Hot Dog, hot digging dog.
@ecurb - Great...now I have a craving for Sabrett hot dogs smothered in mustard and onion sauce. 😁

1 Reaction@malligood, how are you doing after hearing the news that you're in the club you didn't want to join? What are next steps for you?
@colleenyoung I feel like this has taken over and prostate cancer will be my focus for a long time. I met with my diagnosing urologist Monday. I wasn’t expecting Gleason 8. I was sure it would come back 6 and AS at worst. He made a great case why I should go with RALP. If I hadn’t spent the last month educating myself about this I would’ve agreed. Not saying I won’t go that route but I’m going to explore all options. I’ve got an appointment tomorrow with Emory’s Winship Cancer multi disciplinary team. I’ll meet the surgeon, radiologist and medical oncology. I have pet scan scheduled next week.
Depending on how that goes I may make an appointment with Mayo Jacksonville.
Thanks for asking.
