Night Coughs
I get night coughs about 13% of my nights. I will wake up coughing and have to sit up and try and clear my airways to get back to sleep. Sometimes nothing comes up and after twenty minutes of huffing and puffing I go back to sleep. I would be interested in what others say about nighttime coughs. Is this normal for us? I am in my late eighties.

@picartist scoop is correct as usual. The Radiologist who reads your CT should be able to pinpoint where in your lungs the Bronchiectasis has taken up residence.
If I nebulizer between 1 and 2 while laying down, I would soon be napping. Regarding that- our PCP who stays up on everything it seems, said at our age, it’s a good thing to get a good night’s sleep …even sleeping more than eight hours. Good sleep, a nutrient dense diet, exercising in moderation, and keeping a good attitude while having incurable Bronchiectasis and/ or a tough to treat mycobacterium is important.
