I've lost all motivation, no sex drive, depressed. Ideas?

You mention your own lack of motivation and libido. Anyone out there have a situation like mine? My wife couldn't fathom the thought of intercourse while I still had incontinence. It took a long time for me to finally stop leaking and now she is realizing we need to give it a go. Did others have a similar situation?

I resisted the antidepressant my doctor suggested for awhile but finally agreed and glad I did. It's made a huge difference for me. Suggest you discuss this with your medical team. Hang in there!

First thing I would recommend is getting treatment for your depression. I also am depressed and will get it addressed very soon. As long as I am depressed I can't get the energy to address any other issue. Good luck!

Get a testosterone test as this is pretty common after ADT treatment.

Hello there……..Many of us can certainly relate to your current challenges. First and foremost, get your Testosterone Levels checked, (TOTAL & FREE). I was HYPOGONADAL and was on Testosterone Replacement Therapy for 13 years before having my RALP performed on October of 2022. When I am not on my “TRT” I am technically “ medically castrate” with a Total Testosterone Level of between 20-90! You’ve got to make sure you have enough Testosterone in your body or you won’t have any libido at all! You also need a sufficient amount of “T” in your body just to maintain overall good health etc!
Hopefully your incontinence will continue to improve. Mine is pretty much back to normal but it took about 6 months to get there. Then I discovered something nobody had told me about nor had I even read about while studying about incontinence. I only experienced CLIMACTURIA once with my wife, ( I ejaculated urine during an orgasm)! Thankfully, this has only occurred on one occasion. However, I recently developed what is called, “Arousal Incontinence, or Foreplay Incontinence!” I will ejaculate a very small amount of clear urine when I get an erection standing up and my wife strokes my cock during foreplay. Very surprising indeed. Now, just before we engage in foreplay or dive right into penetrative intercourse, I go into the bathroom and clean my genitals stroking my erect cock a few times which will release the small amount of urine ejaculate, (CLIMACTURIA) so now I don’t dribble or leak it on my wife during foreplay or right before penetration!

Cut to the chase………..I have great success obtaining and maintaining a very stiff erection using TRIMIX injections. I make an injection into my penis and I am ready for intercourse within 5-10 minutes. My cock gets quite stiff and my erection will last about an hour!!!! I don’t have any anxiety about whether or not I will be able to get or maintain an erection strong enough for sexual, (penetrative) intercourse. The needle is very small, similar to the diabetic’s needle used to inject insulin. I mention the above because even if your current libido is very low to non existent now. You will be amazed about how you will feel with getting almost an instant erection and then experiencing penetrative sexual intercourse again with your wife, (who will also appreciate your stiff hard cock as well). The more sex you have, the more sex the two of you will want. When your wife knows that you will be able to obtain and continue your erection she will get more and more enthused about your sex life again as well. You should still utilize Testosterone Replacement Therapy if you need it. However, ask your Urologist about TRIMIX. He can inject you with a small sample amount to test it out on you. Then he can prescribe it. It’s easy to use. There are several or more very good videos on YouTube on how to inject yourself.
I am so thankful that TRIMIX works so well for me. It has given us the sex lives my wife and I enjoyed before my Radical Prostatectomy with the stiff and always reliable erection to support my strong and healthy libido.

Did/do you have hobbies? What do you do in your free time?

I suggest getting out of your home to the outdoors in the sunshine for walks/runs/cycling away from city life onto trails, to start with. While doing this, maybe take photos with your phone of things that catch your eye.

There could be a local Animal Shelter where you can take a dog out for a walk and companionship. A sunny day in a park with a friendly pooch is not so bad!

While I was on ADT, I found the only was to get out of the doldrums was JUST DO IT! Take a long walk, a country drive, do some photography!

Waking up in the mornings, I was determined to make this day more enjoyable than the previous.

I failed to mention that you should also see a physician about the depression.

I did, and I’ve been on those meds for a number of years. The pills do help you feel better, but, don’t stop taking them because you feel better. You would slump back; so, like I have, you will accept that you will have this medication for a long time.

BTW, after my Lupron shot, I switched my anti-depressants to Venlafaxine, 37.5 mg twice daily, and this helped to eliminate those dreaded “hot flashes.”

Have you heard of Tri-mix? I don't know if I am spelling that right, it is an injection into the base of the penis that has a very good success rate. I just got my prescription and although I have not had complete success, I have had positive results. I need to work on the dosage.

I also take a dose of full-spectrum CBD everyday. Warning, full-spectrum means it has a small amount of THC. The pills and gummies I consume have 25-50 mg CBD and 2mg THC. No, I don't get stoned. I'm still working. It does not affect my work performance. But, I never get anxious or depressed. All my buddies say how remarkably happy and positive I am.

And one last thing... kind of hard to talk about... but what the hell. I have found ways to pleasure myself. My wife has tried to help, but I must confess, it is a lot harder (no pun intended) to accomplish. But, I discovered I can still reach climax! That is motivation for me to keep trying things like the tri-mix.

Thanks for your response. Yes, when I previously stated that I had tried the pills which didn’t provide any measurable results that also included CIALIS etc. I do take 20mg of CIALIS every 72 hours to assist with increasing overall general increased blood flow but they don’t do anything to increase the quality of obtaining and or maintaining an erection for me. They might provide some kind of secondary or tertiary results to increase the positive results of my TRIMIX injections. However, to be clear, none of the PDE-5 pills assist me with obtaining and maintaining any kind of erection for penetrative sexual intercourse. Frankly, without the TRIMIX, I don’t know what I would do. Actually, I could use the Vacuum Devise which will obtain and then maintain an erection if utilizing the “cock ring!” However, I find the ring a bit too uncomfortable and less natural for my needs and preference. The TRIMIX injections offers me the best overall results!
