New diagnosis’ pulmonary
Ct scan shows increased rmls asteclasis, 8mm nodule apex region, along with 6mm, 4mm lower lobe, and a couple 3mm left lower lobe, and ground glass middle left lobe. SOB is worsening and blue lips. Appointment scheduled with pulmonologist in May. Back pain has worsened as well. I’m asking for prayers. Thank you in advance.

I am so sorry to hear this. You must be scared.
How long have you had symptoms with back and lungs?
Have you seen a spine specialist for your back? Have you had MRIs of your spine?
Were/are you a smoker? What type of work did/do you do? Have you had illness/lung infections?
Did your primary doctor send you for the ct scan? You may want to ask your doctor for supportive oxygen in the interim or breathing treatments to help you improve oxygen flow until your May appointment with your pulmonologist. If necessary, go to urgent care or hospital emergency room to get supportive oxygen.
Praying that God is with you during this time. Bring Him all of your worries and fears and He will comfort you.
Some 3+ years ago I started out the same. Nodules not always cancer. And SOB can be due to more than one type of lung issue, and also from heart issues.
Pulmonologist will do pulmonary function test to determine lung breathing issues (obstructive or restrictive). Also, may do oxygen titration test to determine prescription of oxygen. Wear comfortable clothing.
For now, you could also get an oximeter to check your Oxygen levels at home when sitting. Oximeter readings with movement not so accurate. Keep track of when you have SOB. For example, I am on O2 for exertion but not for watching TV.
Try not to think about it now (easier said than done!). You just need to get through the process to know what is going on, and then it can be addressed.
If your lips are turning blue you need evaluation much sooner than May. Like yesterday! I would call whoever you need to, to get an ASAP evaluation. Are your taking supplemental Oxygen?
@kndaustin71
My lips have been turning blue for over a year now, exray Jan of this year showed pneumonia & xray feb this year showed RMLS & chest ct scan Apr this year show worsening RMLS soonest they can schedule me is May 8th. I don’t know what supplemental oxygen is? Thank you for commenting. Today, fever, pain; fluids & rest.
Supplemental oxygen is just the prescription your doctor gives you because based on testing you need it. O2 prescription could be 24x7 or just for exertion and night sleep. With the prescription your insurance company will cover it, and a specialized provider will give you the appropriate oxygen equipment.
I a m sorry, it has to be scary. i pray God gives you peace and comfort with healing! Amen
