All of us with neuropathy are focused on what we can do to provide relief for our symptoms but maybe we should also take a look at finding ways to prevent neuropathy. I thought we might be able to glean some information from this upcoming webinar.

Please join us as FPN’s Patient Education Advisor, Shanna Patterson, MD, MS, an attending neurologist at Mount Sinai Health System, shares information about how people can prevent neuropathy. We cannot stop our bodies from deteriorating! Remember Jim Fix the runner from the 1980’s? He was one of the first to advocate and write a book about running I believe. He unfortunately died at age 52 from an MI. The breakdown of your body tissues is normal the aging process. I don’t want to be a Debbie downer but our society is not setup to deal with extended old age. Considering that less than 50% of retiring people have sufficient funds for retirement let alone an extended old age. I don’t want to continue to suffer with chronic pain longer than my body wants to and trying to reverse the aging process after age 50 is useless.
