Best wishes for continued recovery. Several years ago I was taking lorazepam for anxiety issues, starting at 3X daily eventually weaning off after a few years. My dose was 0.5mg and was effective. My query is if the dose you quoted at 5.0 mg is correct or a typo.
HTP=Hydroxytryptophan, It's an amino acid that your body naturally produces. Your body uses it to produce serotonin, a chemical messenger that sends signals between your nerve cells. Low serotonin levels are associated with depression, anxiety, sleep dosorders weight gain and other health problems.

I would think so. I'm trying them out see how they work for me, just started on them 8 days ago, but still take my lorazepam 0.5mg and eventually get away from the drug. will let you know the progress.

I have been on Lexapro for 8 years and last year started feeling extreme fatigue and worsening depression. Dr. Just upped Lexapro from 20 to 30 and added a low dose of Welbutrin in morning and it has definitely started to help.
Don't be embarrassed, I was seeing a psychiatrist for anxiety and mild depression, he prescribed six different medications one after the other and they all made me feel worse so I decided to get a second opinion with a different Dr. and She recomended Lorazepam 5mg. I'm still not out of the woods yet, I ask my pcp about the 5HTP supplement, and he said that some of his patients are taking it and they really are happy taking those supplements rather then drugs, so I'm going to try them here pretty soon, will keep you posted.
I have found no antidepressants help with my severe anxiety. I have tried six of them in all three classes. My psychiatrist prescribed Valium, but is going to try Lyrica or another anticonvulsant med to quiet my brain. Just a suggestion for anyone who cannot take the antidepressants and their side effects.
It's a typo, it's 0.5mg

Thank you. So it's better than prescription drugs.
Thank you
