Nebulizing Tobi : and nausea?

Posted by pegs @pegs, Oct 19, 2023

On my 2nd day nebulizing Tobramyacin and had bad nausea all last night. Anyone else had that? I also had bad headaches, but this morning's neb produced no coughing??? This is all so confusing and a bit depressing but I'll have to get used to it. Thanks.

Well, the nausea went away but now I have the worst sore throat ever, and no voice. Does this ever get better nebbing Tobi?

Yes, the sore throat went away for me after a week or so (I think - it was several years ago) My voice came back slowly. I remember using a lot of honey with a bit of lemon to soothe things. My friend is a musician, and he cautioned me not to "force" anything as far as my voice - to let things heal naturally.
Many others here have reported loss of voice with the Tobramycin - as far as I know, they all healed.
If things don't begin to feel better day-by-day, be sure to contact your doc to have a look at your throat.

Thank you. I’ll definitely try the honey! You’ve cheered me up!
