Hi Bill and also Diane, I recently switched to the same Pari LC Plus nebulizing cup as Bill and it reduced my time of nebulizing. I believe that I've read that the Pari Sprint cup cuts that time even further. Anyone?? The Pari, in my opinion, is much more preferable than my old generic one. Kate
I have the Pari LC Sprint and it takes about 15-20 minutes. I am relatively new to nebulizing so I am not sure exactly how to tell when all the saline is depleted. I just look to see when the mist thins out or stops. When deciding on which Pari to buy, I chose this one because it said neb time was shorter. It does not seem that way, Am I missing something?
I had never heard of that! Did anyone tell you it is ok to exhale through the nose? I have on occasion seen foam in the cup and wondered what caused it. I have always exhaled though my mouth. Just seems natural when using the nebulizer. I find using the Aerobika after and not during works better for me plus I HAVE to use different body positions while using the Aerobika.
No one told me it was okay, and in through the mouth and out through the nose does not feel normal. Both in and out through my nose is normal for me, unless my nose is stuffy. At night if I don't keep my mouth closed, breathing both in and out through my nose, my mouth and throat get painfully dry. After seeing Dr. Winthrop, I neb first, sometimes add the Aerobika while sitting, then Aerobika alone for lying on each side and my back.

When I nebulized today I tried to breath out through my nose and it was impossible. Maybe I did not understand what you meant. Anyway I think you need to breath with your mouth in and out unless you use a face mask? With the Aerobika you can breath in and out through it or just out. Glad to hear Dr Winthrop recommends lying on side and back with Aerobika. It is the only thing that works for me at this point after having nebulized.
Hi @irenea8 , @sueinmn , @alleycatkate I too got the Pari Vios Go-Green and Sprint nebulizer from recommendations on this site. I have well water that’s very hard, but I use softened water to clean the nebulizer. I started with water and vinegar, then switched to alternating soaking in hot soapy water and boiling for 5 minutes on alternate days. At the moment, I’m soaking my nebulizer for several hours in straight vinegar to see if that helps. I called Pari yesterday and they are sending me a new condenser—it will be the second replacement compressor since I bought the first in March 2020.
So I finally sat down and timed it. I am using the DeVilbiss Traveller on battery power with the supplied neb cup. I nebbed 3 ml of saline in just under 8 minutes. That is enough for me to cough up the mucus when I follow with my Aerobika. Used my new Aerobika today - surprise! I had to turn it down from max to about 3 1/2 - I guess they do wear out over time.
I know duoneb takes me 7 minutes, as does either budosenide or levalbuterol (only use those during an exacerbation or asthma attack.)
I have ditched the Sprint ProNeb cup as it didn't seem useful to me.

I have Pari Green and Pro Neb from Pari. Used with sprint cups. I have found that how you clean them is the key. Soaking in vinegar will dissolve any build up from hard water. I also notice that since we had new tanks for our whole home water purification system installed that the cups are working even better. One of the tanks is a descaler for hard water (which we have). So now when I boil the cups for 5 minutes it is not an issue (the hard water). But could be your compressor is needing a swap. They will send you a new one for free if you call them. Or if the filter needs changing that can make a BIG difference. Both my systems only take under 10 minutes on average. To me they go too fast and I often use a second vile of saline since I need to nebulize for some time to get benefits!

You might call Pari and ask them if they replaced the Pari Vios Pro with the Pro Neb Max. If you google Pari Vios pro it does bring up some for sale but Pari may have replaced it with the newer model and your Dr does not know. The Pari Vios Pro is blue and the Pro Neb Max is white. The Pari Vios is green. LC Sprint and LIC Plus are two different types of cups and you can use either one. I think the Plus is slower. I tried both and personally prefer the Sprint. Get one of each and see what works the best for you.

I sometimes use justnebulizers.com or shop around for the best price. Justnebulizers is prompt and good but can be expensive.
