What side effects are you managing from Rasonque? Nausea, swelling?

Hi all, it’s been 10 days on these pills and the doxyclin antiobotic. All was not bad till yesterday. Woke up so nausea threw up, bad stomach pain and diarrhea. Didn’t even take the pills for the day yet. I couldn’t even sit up I felt so sick. Called doctor office of course he was t there a the ones that were said keep taking it lol well I didn’t take any antiobotics an only 1 pill. If I would have took it all yesterday again I doubt I’d be writing up this. Did anyone go through this and what did your doctor do cut your dose? I go tommrow for blood work and talk to nurse practitioner.

Are you taking Zofran (Ondansetron before you take Daraxonrasib? My mom was told to take that 30 minutes before taking the Daraxonrasib. She takes it at night which seemed to help. She can also take it when feeling nauseous and it works quickly.
For diarrhea I would talk to your NP about Imodium and if it gets really bad Lomotil. I hope your symptoms subside quickly.

I'm on a completely different chemo treatment. Also my body is sometimes weird in drug reactions so take th8s free advice for what it's worth. Aromatherapy (peppermint and lemon mostly) helps my nausea much more than metaclopramide does. Also covers up stinky dog and cat smells so it's an all around winner.

Hi I’m on week 3 and been taking the rasonque. Yesterday after being on my feet all day they swelled up. And today was only out for little and they swelled up fast. I know it’s a side effect but still scary. Anyone else?

My mom has swelling from a clinical trial she was on and her new dr suggested custom measured compression socks.
Good luck! We are hoping to start mom on Rasonque so soon.

@valerina30 I have been living with compression socks for four years to help control swelling from other chemo treatments. They really help. There are different levels of compression. @petrouva, how do you get the compression level custom measured? I found what works for me by trying different compression level socks.

@tomrennie glad they are working for you! My parents went to a medical store and they have a specialist that measures for them. Apparently they are more expensive but will work better. No idea how expensive. They need the measurements done in the morning before the feet swell so they showed my parents how to measure and they have to go back. Will ask where they went and share.
