C. diff, SIBO and chronic nausea

Posted by jillannw @jillannw, Dec 25, 2018

I started 8 months ago with either food poisoning or a stomach flu. I have never recovered. I have had every test done and continue to suffer from nausea everyday. In the middle of this I was diagnosed with and treated for c-diff twice but because I didn’t have the classic symptoms the drs at Mayo thought they were false positives. I also was diagnosed and treated for SIBO twice. The nausea everyday which is where this all started never went away. Has anyone had this and come up with a solution?

I’d consider his diet as the culprit. Also consider a homeopathic practitioner to help you suss out what might be causing his symptoms. You need to begin thinking outside the box. Also from a Google search I found these natural suggestions listed below. I hope you both find peace and a happy gut.
From Google: To naturally relieve nausea, you can try:
Eating bland foods: Opt for crackers, toast, plain rice, bananas, or applesauce, which are easy on the stomach; eat small meals frequently throughout the day.
Drinking fluids: Sip on clear liquids like water, broth, or ginger ale, and consider cold drinks
Ginger: Consume ginger tea, ginger candies, or chew on fresh ginger as it has anti-nausea properties
Peppermint: Inhale peppermint essential oil, suck on peppermint candies, or drink peppermint tea
Acupressure: Apply pressure to the P6 point on your wrist, which is located between the wrist crease and the elbow
Aromatherapy: Inhale calming scents like lavender or lemon
Fresh air: Spend time outside to get fresh air
Deep breathing: Practice deep breaths to relax your stomach muscles
Lemon: Smell a lemon slice or drink lemon water
Hydration: Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration

I suffer from nausea due to meds. My doctor prescribes ondensattron, which is what is used for cancer patients on chemo. It works effectively. Other things I do are: 1) lie down and relax; 2) drink soda and belch; the release of gas alleviates the nausea

I have chronic nausea and live on Zofran that dissolves on my tongue. I have many gastro diseases. The generic forms don't work on me they make me vomit. I take 8mg and I take it sometimes every hour. Sometimes I can go several hours. But I can't take it 8 hours apart. Through the year's my gastroenterologist has told me to take it however it will help me. Sometimes it doesn't. Chronic nausea is awful and I pray your husband finds something to take the edge off. Good luck 🙏🙏🙏

Heather's tummy tamers company has a wonderful peppermint tea. I buy it in bulk. Far superior to others I have tried. It helps with my morning nausea.

I dealt with chronic nausea for six years until I was diagnosed with Mals. I didn't v have typical symptoms but the CT scan of abdomen showed some compression. Its been 8 weeks since surgery and feeling better most days. I totally understand what your husband is going through. I sat in my chair and didn't know how to go on. Went to every kind of Dr and many gastros. Don't quit seeking help. Go to different drs.
