Naltrexone med

My doctor took me off naltrexone. Now my mental health is failing again. I felt so good on it this last year but he says its bad for u. I had gotten it from another dr. Black warning label he says. Now im having meltdowns, craving alcohol, anxiety, problems sleeping, restless legs! Its so hard to trust anyone! Id rather take my chances with the med and be happy then live in such misery!

Welcome to Mayo Connect, hopefully you will get answers from others who have been on naltrexone. I have been on it and dr has never said it is bad for me.

Did your doctor give you a reason for stopping naltrexone? Did something show up in a blood test that indicated a problem?

I know i’ve had high liver enzymes in the past. I can’t really remember what he said..
