My TRIMIX experience

I've been using Trimix for about six months with outstanding results. It did take some experimentation to figure out the best way to make it work for me. With hopes that it may help others, here's what I discovered using this medication: (BTW, I'm 71, one year post SBRT and 4 months Orgovyx)
- I have had to use the oral antidote several times (works well) in the early dose experimentation days for super hard erections lasting more than three hours (4tablets of 30 mg pseudoephedrine. Don't make the mistake of buying the extended release pseudoephedrine tabs). Make sure you have this on hand before you start this medication!
- I had to find the sweet spot for the injection site and depth. For me turns out to be the 10 and 2 o'clock position with the 1/2" needle almost fully inserted around mid-shaft.
- Shelf life on the Trimix in the refrigerator is limited. I can definitely see a difference in the results at the 3-4 week period. For me, it became pretty useless after 4 weeks, even at a higher dose. To help extend the life, I now fill all syringes with the needed dose as soon as I get the medication and immediately place all syringes into the freezer until needed. Now, I take a syringe out about 30 min before needed and it's ready to go. This is working well and my pharmacist said this should extend the shelf-life to 6 months or more.
- After injecting, massage the entire penis and base to help distribute the medication throughout the muscle structure. This will help significantly.
- Stand for the first 5-10 minutes after injection as gravity aids in the blood flow into the penis.
This medication has been a lifesaver for me. I was afraid I'd never see a useful erection again. Now, I'm back to 18 in that regard-- actually better than 18 as my erection stays hard even after an orgasm! Best of luck guys! Be aware that your partner may hide your medication if you use it to often. (-:

You may not have injected it correctly. That recently happened to me. I thought the medicine needed reformulated so I went back and had the doctor inject the same dose and thought I wasn't injecting it coyand he was right. When he injected it all was fine. You might want to try that or try the versions that goes in the urethra or the topically applied one. I understand the last two don't work quite as well as the injections but might be worth a try.

I need some advice on this Trimix , first time nothing at .5 second time increased to .10 got an erection but not normal size and was able to get hard enough for sex but had no feeling and the tip of my penis felt slight burning sensation so is this normal? And should I try .15 I can see where the small vile doesn’t go very far, any tips appreciated, hope eventually be able to have an orgasm but not if I can’t feel what I used to

I need some advice on this Trimix , first time nothing at .5 second time increased to .10 got an erection but not normal size and was able to get hard enough for sex but had no feeling and the tip of my penis felt slight burning sensation so is this normal? And should I try .15 I can see where the small vile doesn’t go very far, any tips appreciated, hope eventually be able to have an orgasm but not if I can’t feel what I used to

I have had excellent results from Trimix and have used it dozens of times. I started out with one fifth of a cc (0.20 on a 1 cc insulin syringe with a 30g 1/2 inch needle. Felt just a little prick when it went in (sorry about that!). I have used as much as 0.35. but 0.20 seems to be the sweet spot for me. Very firm erection like when I was a teenager. Stays erect for 2-3 hours. Yikes!! Wife hides.
I haven't had any decrease in sensation. I don't inject close to the head; more along the mid shaft and alternate sides and location. Avoid 6 and 12 o'clock, of course.
It seems if your erection isn't hard enough you might need to gradually increase the dose. I take 5mg generic Cialis every morning. I asked my urologist if it's ok to use Trimix and he said yes, but this is something I would discuss with your urologist. I have read that mixing larger doses of oral meds can result in prolonged (>4 hours) erections-priapism and require medical intervention.
I have found Trimix to be the best solution to my post op/Lupron ED. Although now that I am on TRT I am getting nightly erections again so there is hope.

Thanks that helps a little evidently when hard you could feel the sensation you were use to , I’ve only tried twice but will increase to the next level and hope my nerves weren’t damage to the point of my penis head will not be the same . What is TRT ? Did you have surgery and radiation?

I forgot to add that I get a dozen or more injections form each vial. It lasts for months (and months) in the freezer and only takes 5-10 minutes to thaw and then back in the freezer. It's not dangerous to leave it out and you can keep in the refrigerator. It very slowly degrades in potency when at room temperature and exposed to light. I read a post from a guy that experimented taking Trimix on a vacation without refrigeration and it lost little of its potency over multiple weeks.

I had a RP in 10/2021. I had SBRT to a solitary met at T8 but PSA continued to climb so I had triple therapy at Johns Hopkins end of 2022. Also had 37 radiation treatments to pelvis with boost to prostate bed. Was on Lupron for one year but my testosterone never recovered so my MO at Hopkins put me on Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT, using Androgel ) 6 months ago. My PSA became undetectable 11/22 after second chemo cycle and has remained that way until the present. While on TRT my docs have checked my testosterone and PSA monthly. The testosterone has made me feel much better, have grown my body hair back and my libido has definitely returned.

Good luck to you. Keep trying the Trimix until you find what works for you. There are other mixes and concentrations of the 3 medications so ask your urologist to try another mixture if the one you are currently using isn't effective. I use Trimix 2.

Graybeard once I got past the learning curb I find I have greater sensation with injections. Did go up to 34 units but a time passes I am now down to 22 units for about a one and a half to a two hour errection. Hoping you get to a very good spot soon. Hang in there

Graybeard - You are wise to incrementally raise your starting dose from a low level.

I started my Trimix experience about five years ago for non-prostate cancer reasons. My first dose nearly sent me to the emergency room for priapism. Very scary - lesson learned.

Great medicine. So glad it exists.

I started my Trimix experience about five years ago for non-prostate cancer reasons. My first dose nearly sent me to the emergency room for priapism. Very scary - lesson learned.

Thanks , I meant to say my first injection was.05 not . 5 that did nothing, second try was .10 got maybe have normal size and hard enough for sex. It no fun really maybe because I’m still in Lupron to wear off in 2 months. Tonight I try .15 , funny the OC told me while I’m on Lupron I won’t event want sex , what planet is he from . I also watched a great YouTube video from a Dr on MenMd they go into detail about how to inject I think I didn’t inject at a 45 degree angle which maybe part of my problem, I’m hoping for better results tonight

My OC said on days you plan to use Trimjx skip the daily 5mg of cialis ? Who’s right ?
