My next steps with my Adenocarcinoma 1.1 lung tumor

7/13 was diagnosed with lung Adenocarcinoma 1.1. Went to the surgeon; worst experience of my life. About 2 hours before my appt, someone from the office called and asked to move my brain scan from 8/6 to that day. I really wasn't mentally prepared to have it done that day and asked why I was being moved up. She said Especially With your type of cancer, it spreads to the brain. I went into a panic, thought I was having a heart attack, was in tears, and was shaking. I threw up. The visit didn't go any better. My blood pressure went sky high along with heart rate. The surgeon said they didn't know if I could handle the surgery because I had high anxiety. So would you if this news was so casually brought up to you! I left that office shaking and so very scared. The next day I saw the Radiation Doctor; she was relaxed and friendly, assured me that the tumor was very small, and she didn't expect any surprises. She explained the procedure. She was kind and confident in my treatment. At 75 years old, I have decided to be treated with radiation. I have faith in the fates and my father's memory to get me through this. That other woman's words are still haunting me; no one should place that kind of fear in someone, especially the receptionist. Any others doing radiation, and what made you decide against the surgery.
