Want to talk about Multiple Myeloma: Anyone else?

Posted by Frazer 1 @frazer1, Apr 11, 2012

Asking anyone who is going thru this experience to share any pro's or con's of this disease. As of now I'm in MGUS, will find our next week if it has progress to Smoldering Myeloma.

Hi @jcctsg I wanted to add my welcome along with @davi0937 and @gingerw to Mayo Connect.
As they mentioned there are several discussions in the forum with members who have undergone an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT - using their own cells) in treatment for Multiple Myeloma.
One discussion in particular popped into my head that you might find helpful. This is from @jstpeachey posted a few years ago about her experience with ASCT.

Please feel free to drop into any of the discussions in the support group. Are there any specific questions I can answer for you?

@loribmt
Thank you so much for your warm welcome. Yes, I would like to know if anyone decided not to continue maintenance treatment after being on it for 1 or 2 years of velcade or revlimid? Anyone stopped due to side effects? Also is it okay to resume hair colouring at the salon with ammonia free colour?
