Mullein?

I've been reading a lot about Mullein for lung health.
Does anyone use this as a supplement or tea?

Like you I've read a lot about mullein and decided to buy a bag of loose mullein tea. I sip it in the morning to lubricate my throat during airway clearance. I finish the cup after clearance. I've used it now for about 3-4 weeks and cannot say it has made a big difference one way or another. It's tastes earthy so I add honey. Have you seen a recommended dose? Maybe I'm not drinking enough of it. All I know so far is that you should leave some liquid in the bottom of the cup (not finish the whole cup) as there are microscopic prickly things which fall to the bottom of the cup that can be irritating to the throat.

Thank you . Your information is helpful . I have mullein growing and wanted ti try it . I think I must look elsewhere for it . The smoke from the Canada wildfires has been reported to be particulate in my area. So , since it is advised not to wash mullein, mine is not going to work . I wonder about that which we purchase. How well it is monitored for contaminates .

I bought a bag on Amazon after some research. I wish paid more attention to the size I ordered. Oops, 16oz of dried tea is A LOT!

I've been using Mullein tea for the past 8 months. I have to say, it helps but it's only a piece of the puzzle. As a supplement, it aids in keeping mucus thin as it acts as an expectant. My brother tried it for his COPD and found it helped him too. Thinner mucus = less coughing, right? Other supplements I use every morning are Mucinex which thins mucus too. And I have just recently started taking NAC - not sure if that is helping yet - too soon.

I'm a tea drinker - from morning to night. I add a Mullein tea bag to each of my 3-4 morning cups along with my regular peppermint and green tea. For me, it works so I'll continue with it.

One of the more inexpensive brands I tried had bags that would often split which made a mess in my cup. I changed brands to a better quality. Makes a difference and the bags are always good.
Hope this helps.

Are you allowed to name the brand on here?
There are so many teas.
Loose leaf and bags.
There is a health hut in my area and an outpost.
I wonder about Yogi and Tazo teas.
So many choices.

The mullein tea I like very much is VIDA Farm Mullein tea and I get it on Amazon.

I have been taking it in dropper form (added to a little bit of water) 2-3x/day, for about 8 months. It is one of the current components of my alternative care. I don't notice any real crazy changes, but I feel that it is another safe way to help support lung health, and there are no side effects.

You can wash Mullein and dry with cloth or paper towel. I dry it outside in the sun under a light cloth. I make a strong tea and drink daily (with honey and sometimes lemon). Also make a tincture by filling a jar with dried leaves and cover with the highest proof vodka I can find letting it sit for 8 weeks. Then strain and put liquid into dropper bottles. 1 dropper full per day. Also make apple cider tincture (for children). Make sure you turn jars top to bottom from time to time. Have found this works well, helps reduce mucus, coughing and clears sinuses. Several requests for more from those who use it regularly. I would not even suggest it would cure MAC or other lung ailments but it has helped with mucus reduction in our case.
