Mucoid Pseudomonas contageous

I just read that pseudomonas is contagious. I’m pretty upset, since I have 4 small grandkids. But I haven’t seen on here where anyone doesn’t see their grandkids with it.
Please help, I’m getting more and more upset and trying to find more info

@sarahlynn1960 Breathe easy! Pulmonary pseudomonas infections are not generally considered to be contagious. The exception is when immunocompromised individuals (such as those on chemo) or susceptible (having bronchiectasis or cystic fibrosis) are directly exposed.
To be honest, you are at far greater risk of picking up "bugs" from your grandkids that they are from you.

Thank you so much! I did read some other things after I had posted, and started feeling better. But I sure was spiraling into panic at first. Ha I’ve already experienced catching things from them! Their parents are wonderful at avoiding me when the kids are sick, but sometimes they don’t know yet. But all worth it!
