Try to not jump to any scary conclusions just yet. It sounds like you've been tested for many things that have been ruled out. Have you also been tested for mouth cancer, maybe by biopsy? Even if you do not have cancer, I agree that you do need some medical/dental help. If I was in your situation, I would go to a good dentist as soon as possible. This could be numerous things that need a diagnosis and support. Many communities have low cost dental clinics--maybe there is one near you? I'd head for a dentist, but maybe someone else in the comments has other ideas.

5 ReactionsI’m sorry you’re having such a rough time with your mouth, it’s a comfort to know that you were tested and nothing was wrong. I understand your concern because of your family history and it doesn’t have to be anything more than a chronic sore that could be a allergy to something you’re using or perhaps eating, I know that we always fear the worst, myself included. Also you are stressing yourself out because of no insurance and that’s not an easy thing to deal with, I hope that you get better soon and get more rest to help with your anxiety, everything will eventually get sorted out soon enough so that you can feel better. God bless you.

3 Reactions@mir123 i haven't been tested for anything actually. I was stating the active and current family history and the fears I have as everyone besides myself is currently dealing with all the things stated in my original post. I was hoping someone maybe able to direct me to a Dr that could email me and just look at it to ease my mind or a free clinic to be checked ...I do appreciate all the support and positive vibes 🙂 its just so hard because my mouth burns when I eat anything and these different wounds come up in my mouth and all.. the only thing I know that I was tested for free wise was like your std testing and I was clear for it all.. I guess that's where I confused yall I apologize...

4 ReactionsHi @kim45 I’m wondering if what you’re dealing with is a yeast infection in your mouth such as Thrush. I have a medical condition where I have flare-ups from time to time. Hot spicy foods, salty, or too much sugar can cause large areas to form on my tongue, making my entire mouth painful.
When you get these sores on the end of your tongue, do they start out with white edges and the center is pink…and then they spread? Do you have a whiteish film that collects on your tongue?

5 Reactions@loribmt hi there. I have like a Grey coating towards the back the sore spots are on the tip of my tongue kind of like helps not bumps and little bright red and some white bumps all over the lounge
@kim45 Members in Connect aren’t able to diagnose medical conditons but we are able to use our personal experiences to share suggestions that have worked for us.
You mentioned not having insurance and hoping for a free clinic to evaluate your mouth. You could try an internet search for free dental clinics in your area. I used to work for a dental practice and we were involved in a free clinic sponsored by our county health system several times per year.
Generally oral cancer can start as sores or ulcers in the mouth that don’t heal. It sounds like yours come and go. There are condtions such as fungal/yeast infections, burning mouth syndrome and others which can cause similar burning in the mouth and spotty areas of sores on the tongue.
Here are a few things you might try at home for some relief until you get a firm diagnosis from a dentist. All of these can be found online for proper use instructions. But here is a small list of ideas.
~Warm salt water and/or baking soda water rinses
~Gently, brush the top your tongue several times daily to remove any yeast build up. The grey coating on your tongue may be an indication of yeast. By daily brushing you’ll reduce the excess yeast that may be causing the problem.
~Brush your teeth several times daily with toothpaste and floss nightly.
~Cut back on sugar, processed foods, soft drinks, juices, starchy junk foods, etc. Starch/Sugar can help yeast flourish. No alcoholic beverages.
~Eat probiotic foods such as non-sweetened Greek yogurt and fermented foods like kefir, mild kimchi. Here’s a good site for suggested foods. https://www.thecandidadiet.com/foods-to-eat/
~Nystatin oral thrush drops are available over the counter at drug stores. A pharmacist would also be a good person to ask.
These ideas may not cure your issue but they may help soothe your mouth. I know when I get a flare my entire mouth hurts even though there is only a small area involved. My doctor has prescribed · Clotrimazole Troches (lozenges) for me. I use 2 or 3 daily, letting them melt over my tongue for about 10-15 minutes. They don’t taste like anything but they do help to my mouth comfy again and they’re not expensive.
Let me know if any of these make a difference for you, ok?

4 ReactionsHope these resources can help you find what you need.
I found a listing of free clinics in Florida-- https://www.fafcc.org
I haven't personally used this site--as am not in Florida--but it might be helpful. You can also search for a free medical clinic on the internet--Florida being a large place and the clinics scattered. I also think the info line of your local hospital or medical center could refer you, or perhaps offer you services.
In addition--FindHelp https://www.findhelp.org/
FindHelp is a resource directory that helps people find and connect to social services in their area. Services include food pantries, help paying bills, housing, job training, after-school programming and more.
