I noticed after my colon surgery that nothing help with heartburn and my stomach pain , it felt like heartburn in my abdomen. Also constipation was horrible laxatives didn't work etc . I was diagnosed with Sibo .
I would feel great on antibiotics but once I was done with them my symptoms would return .
Long story short is my stomach is not breaking down histamines well , certain foods will trigger headaches and heartburn like symptoms, once I started treating sibo naturally and taking DAO before meals I started feeling better and have not had any significant GI issues .
For 30 dollars it's worth a shot .
Also , there were days that no matter what I took would help my heartburn or constipation, thats how I figured out it wasn't due to acidity it was an allergic reaction

1 ReactionI have been on motegrity 2mg daily for 7 months now,I take it because I have generalized motility disorder, heartburn, slow digestion and chronic constipation. My GI doctor says it helps with both digestion and constipation.I started at 1mg dose and did not help much.At 2mg dose,it has helped me a lot along with pelvic therapy for 5 months and biofeedback ( I have weak rectal muscle) and Miralax daily.Fast forward to 7 months,my Dr. cut my heartburn medicine in half and cut my Miralax to every other day, dietitian helps for food guidelines too. Now I’m able to have an expanded diet though limited and go daily with just occasional constipation.I started very sick, hospitalized, only able to have liquids for 25 days and very constipated.Motegrity does cause nausea for the first 3 days every time they adjust the dose.I hope this medication helps you too.
