Mirvetuximab for ovarian cancer: Anyone used this drug yet?

Posted by califcheryl @califcheryl, Nov 9, 2024

has anyone done treatment for ovarian cancer with the IV infusion drug Mirvituxim. I'm starting next Wed. I've done 6 chemo treatment with platinum based carbonplaxin and had full hysterectomy surgery, but there was still many cancer cells left in my abdominal wall. The cancer became resistive to carboplaxin so they are going to try this new drug.

I started Elahere in Oct and just finished my 3rd treatment with it. So far so good. Doing eye drops as instructed. Waiting for upcoming scan to see if it makes difference. Seems to have made neuropathy worse so I started doing cold therapy for hands & feet during infusion.

@sullycat you may want to try this. My neuropathy from chemo is 85% gone. I've been using the cream for about 5 days. I also got Alpha lipoic acid, the plain 50/50 and took for about 3 weeks. I then read and did research that the Alpha lipoic acid-R was the best because it is made naturally by the body. The other is synthetic. I've been taking the R for just 2 days. I am so happy with the results. The cream I found while searching for capsaicin which said it was good for neuropathy. Here is the info. I just ordered my 2nd tube. It's a large tube and a little goes a long way.

I took info to my chemo appt on Monday and had people ordering it in the waiting room. Lol
