Migraine intensifies tenfold in an instant

Occasionally I have a day which I call my “new normal”. Such a relief after pushing through days of level 10 chronic headaches.
Today was a level 4 day until I read a text which included movement and blinking lights. In an instant, head pressure became unbearable. Wondering if others suffer through this? If so, do you have a diagnosis for something like this?

@maxieg,
Last 5 years 24x7 headaches/ migraine my "new normal". If I try to read or work on computer for more than 30 - 45minutes, strong burning sensation top front of brain. I also found correlation between the weather atmospheric pressure (up or down - weather app) and pressure on brain. Been working with Neurologist (CT Scan and blood work) and now added Immunologist (additional blood work - very interesting) to figure out.

Had major sinus surgery (2 ENTs, 1ENT assistant, 6 hours computer GPS guided), Dry Needling on back top neck muscle 20 weekly sessions, Vision checked - minor adjustment to prescription. Many moving pieces to the picture.

Relief - I had first Vyepti Infusion (once every 3 months), Wonderful! Pain level of 8 down to 4, which increased to steady 6 after 30 days. Note: The two previous Migraine Infusion, very strong, but little relief.

I found that I have to push through, thinking positive with a side of sarcasm.

It’s a journey, Best Wishes for Your Journey!

Fourleaf🍀,
I really appreciate your reply. I know you know what I am experiencing. Often times unbearable. It’s great that you have a neurologist and have reached out to an immunologist.
As you say, there are many moving pieces. I am discovering that myself—eyes, neck, tingling.
I have been able manage my chronic pain focusing on the practices learned through Mayo’s PRC program.
Must continue to push through…and using moderation and flexibility on these very difficult days.
I am glad you are experiencing relief with the vyepti infusion. I had not heard about that for migraines.

Thank you, 🍀, it is very kind of you to respond letting me know about what you experience.
