Probiotics to help with microscopic colitis/collagenous colitis?

I’m curious if anyone has tried using probiotics to help their MC? If, so…what kind? I know nothing about them and which ones may actually work.

I just ordered ClearDose today that is supposed to balance enzymes and also has probiotics in it. I have tried lots of different probiotics. Some combined with prebiotics. Some on shelf, some refrigerated. I haven't found any that I can truly say works. I read up about deficiencies with your body's 3 enzymes today. They are supposed to all work together. If one is deficient, it can cause diarrhea. They won't arrive for 5 days, so I can't tell you if they work yet. I was diagnosed 18 years ago. It has been a journey. I had sacral nerve stimulator surgery 1.5 years ago, I can't say it works either. I really have to try and manage it through diet. I took at a test that showed I am gluten intolerant. I stay away from dairy, processed sugar and processed foods. It does make a difference. If I drink alcohol and sometimes coffee, even decaf, it's a problem...

MC destroys our microbiome. It's very important for us to grow the good bacteria back to keep the bad bateria at bay, which can take 3-6 months.

Find a probiotic that has between 100-200 billion. Some best to take on an empty stomach. Read the instructions to whichever you choose. I am taking the one pictured + ClearDose It can take up to 6 months for your microbiome to heal. Also try Cleardose enzymes. Your enzymes could be out of balance, too which can also cause diarrhea. Enzymes are to be taken with the first bite at each meal. Since most MC patients have a high intolerance to gluten and sometimes dairy, try eating GF bread, GF pasta, everything GF. Try plant base dairy products in butter, cheese, almond milk etc. Also start reading your labels for No Added Sugar ingredients. Use Monk Fruit, Stevia or fruit, if you must have sweetness. Bad bacteria feeds on sugar. Caffeine free coffee is better, but does contain some caffeine. Try eating paleo. Not very restrictive. You can still eat meat, fruit and veggies. Just eat in small amounts at a time to be easier on your digestive system.
