Medication to avoid restless leg

Posted by danny10is @danny10is, Nov 22, 2023

My primary issue is gait/freeze issues and restless leg. I was taking 3 times 2 tablets 25 mg/100 mg Carbidopa Levodopa per day with 2 Ropinirole. My neurologist took me off the Ropinirole and increased my CL to 4 times 2 tablets per day. Ever since I made this change, I have experienced restless leg. She then had me take 1 x 300 mg Gabapentin and then up to 2x300 mg gabapentin for my restless leg. My restless leg has gotten better, but I am finding that while taking the 2 tablets of CL 4 times per day that I am feeling more dizzy and I am less stable than I was and I have had several falls over the last month, 7-8. The last fall was serious. I was cutting grass and going downhill and lost control and sustained a large knot on my face when I landed on my concrete driveway.

Has anyone else had these type of issues??

I don't have PD but have had serious restless leg syndrome for over 20 yrs. If I don't take my med, propinerol (generic), on a regular schedule, the RLS will be relentless. I take up to 1 mg 4x a day. Nothing else has ever controlled the pain and creepy crawling symptoms of RLS. I have 4 autoimmune diseases, I am dealing with daily 🙃.
Blessings to you!
