Medication for high cholesterol while taking Actemra infusions

I have been having Actemra infusions for several years with wonderful results. My cholesterol is elevated. It seems that there are interactions between Actemra and medications to lower cholesterol. What would be advised to lower cholesterol safely without going off Actemra.

@uma1

I’m wondering how long you were on prednisone? I’ve been on it, long term, now developing severe neuropathy. I’m also on Atorvastatin. Just recently I was able to stop prednisone down to 10mg each day for COPD. That is an awful condition. Now, the neuropathy has me in such pain..feet, lower legs, beginning in arm and hand. I’ll try stopping the statin. I’m wondering if the special stockings help any? If you could share your experience it would be greatly appreciated. I’m beyond knowing what to do and my dr. isn’t much help.

Hi
I get ankle compression socks from Amazon and they are great and it really helps a lot I wear them all day. Also spraying a magnesium spray on my feet at night before I go to bed has helped lesson it. Hope this helps
