All of us with ostomies had to navigate through a multitude of products until we found what works for our own unique needs. It is a relief that we can continue using the same products/manufacturers, Medicare is just streamlining the amount of vendors submitting our claims, limiting it to 8. That seems reasonable and like everybody else, I am relieved!

@marysews The article on the link above says Medicare will award 8 contractors for ostomy supplies countrywide but does not say who the 8 are. They will be selected through competitive bidding. It is likely that the 8 contractors have not yet been selected.
