Mayo MN trip and expense questions

Does anyone know if there will be "facility fees" just for your consult?
I am also worried about test being scheduled right away and not gotten approval from my insurance yet.
I called them yesterday and they told me to stay at least a week but it might take a week or more to get approvals? When I went to mayo JAX it all happened immediately and went so smooth. Not sure what to expect. Can anyone share their stories so I can prepare and stop stressing. TY

I can only share my experience; I am on Medicare with supplemental insurance, so it may not be the same for you. I have never been charged a facility fee as an outpatient, only the provider and testing charges.

My insurance is on file with Mayo, and when an appointment or test is scheduled, an estimate appears in my portal. In my case, it shows up shortly after it is scheduled.

But if your insurance requires pre-approval, it may work differently.
