Major osteoporosis treatment centers

Sometimes people want to know where the best places are to get treated for osteoporosis. Of course there are many good doctors, but in terms of "name" programs, I can think of a few. Please add to the list if you know of a good one. For exm

Mayo Clinic, Minneapolis
Johns Hopkins, Baltimore
Hospital for Special Surgery, NYC
Massachusetts General endocrine unit , Boston

Recommendations for Florida?

I'm in central Jersey, and I chose to go to NYC because I wasn't impressed with anything near me. If I were further north, I might go to Bergen Medical Associates. Another benefit to that area is that Bergen Imaging Center offers DEXA with the TBS scan, which can be hard to find.

Hi @klw123 I'm in NYC. I went to HSS in Manhattan and saw Dr. Joseph Lane. He's the Chief of the Metabolic Bone Disease Service there. I highly recommend him. I also have seen Dr. Nicole Leung at NYU in Manhattan. She's a rheumatologist who specializes in osteoporosis. I highly recommend her as well. Best wishes to you moving forward.

I am in Michigan any doctor recommendations?

I would go anywhere for a good endocrinologist. I havent found one that I really trust, that sees me as an individual. I feel like I'm a number filing through the office and we all get the same treatment plan. How do you judging a "good Dr.?"

I live in SE Coastal Georgia. Would be willing to travel for consultations at an osteoporosis clinic. Recommendations? Was told Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville is not accepting new patients unless you are already established in one department and are referred to another.

Anyone know of anything in Ohio? Googling hasn't turned up anything definite at Mayo (here), Cleveland Clinic, Ohio State, or University of Cincinnati) have had 4 consults with the 4 types of doctors who handle osteoporosis - my primary care, who sent me to an endocrinologist, my gynecologist, a rheumatologist, my orthopedic doctor (who's website said they treat osteoporosis; they actually do not). Would be wonderful to find a practice/center that treats and is expert in osteoporosis and the current research.

My rheumatologist at Cleveland Clinic referred me to a metabolic bone specialist at the Clinic. I have not seen her yet.

I’m almost 65 years old and have been on Tymlos for almost a year - I’ll do
A dexa next month to see if it is working .
But I really dread the decision of what to take afterwards to maintain bone gains .
All the options sound terrible to me . I live in New Jersey - so I’m not too far from HSS in NY. ( though I’d rather not commute into NY) can you please share with me what the experts told you about reclast versus the other options ?
