Major osteoporosis treatment centers

Sometimes people want to know where the best places are to get treated for osteoporosis. Of course there are many good doctors, but in terms of "name" programs, I can think of a few. Please add to the list if you know of a good one. For exm

Mayo Clinic, Minneapolis
Johns Hopkins, Baltimore
Hospital for Special Surgery, NYC
Massachusetts General endocrine unit , Boston

Can you tell me who you see there? I'm in Austin and would consider traveling to Dallas.

I searched high and low for a facility in or near Denver that offers TBS software. I had a long list of possibilities and called each one with no luck. I checked with ChatGPT and found a place just one town over. I checked their website, and sure enough, they have it. You might have the same luck by searching for reputable, top-tier bone centers. It's worth a try!

Hi Babs10, I live in Littleton, CO. Could you let me know the name of the facility you found for TBS? If you can, thank you.

I’m not home right now, but when I get there, I will certainly look it up and share!

I'm in central Jersey, and I chose to go to NYC because I wasn't impressed with anything near me. If I were further north, I might go to Bergen Medical Associates. Another benefit to that area is that Bergen Imaging Center offers DEXA with the TBS scan, which can be hard to find.

Did the same thing in Cincinnati. Never thought about ChatGPT; once in a while technology can be helpful! No one (yet) has heard of TBS software when I've checked (at least the DEXA techs I've had contact with). If I dig deeper I may find something. REMS or Echolight seem to be few and far between also.

Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center of Southwest Ohio ✅ Yes — specifies simultaneous DXA + TBS

UC Health Bone Health Services (adult) ⚠️ May be available — not explicitly mentioned so call to confirm

I recommend you call both to confirm because Chat GPT can be wrong. Make sure you talk to someone who knows that TBS is software.

Good luck!

Thank you babs10 will check into this - having had Reclast about 2 weeks ago I do have the opportunity over the next couple of months to really amp up my research on testing to have; medical professionals to see; the more the better with this dumb disease.
