Anyone have surgery for this?

Any improvement in blurry vision afterwards?

Bob, are you scheduled for surgery? How long have you had the hole?

Yes, I had that surgery over a year ago. A year later I had to have cataract surgery on the same eye.

My wife (78) has just been diagnosed with macula schisis in left eye. She is currently seeing a retina specialist who is prescribing monthly shots to determine if the retina will heal, and then choose vitrectomy if unsuccessful. Has anyone tried the shots initially? Also, what was the experience after surgery, as her doctor indicates 3-6 months recovery time.

About 2 months since I noticed blurry vision.
I am scheduled for surgery in about 5 weeks.

Not sure what to expect with improvement after surgery?
Hoping that blurry vision will improve.

Did the surgery help your vision?

Are you concerned about your other eye getting the same condition?
