Macular hole Surgery alternative to face down recovery

Hello everyone, I have been reading several posts about the macular hole Surgery on Mayo Clinic. Thank you everyone who has posted information, their experiences and words of encouragement and advice.

I was just diagnosed with a macular hole and a cataract and need to see a retinal specialist.

Has anyone had a macular hole surgery that that did not involve face down recovery? Has anyone gone to Rochester Mayo and had Dr. Ray Iezzi perform their surgery? Has anyone had surgery at Mayo in Eau Claire, WI?

I pray for all of you suffering with this eye condition. I am beginning to understand, peoples fears, and frustrations.
