MAC/COPD

My husband has MAC and COPD. He took the IV meds for 4 month, but had to stop them. The meds made him very sick and he only weighed 116 pounds. He has been off the meds for two years and now he has a lot of blood in his sputum. Has anyone experienced this?

The blood in his sputum is a sign that you need to contact his doctor. They might do some tests, like a CT scan or bronchoscopy, and find the cause of the bleeding. I just think you shouldn't wait for too long to reach the doctor.

I have COPD and have been feeling nauseous lately also. I started taking them at night with a Ginger Gravol and it helps a lot. No blood, but he should see his Respirologist.

No problem. Hope that goes well. If you can, let us know what the doctor said
