Lymphoma or Not? Watch and wait?

Doc wrote: Informed patient that systemic treatment for low grade lymphoma is only indicated for “active disease” with evidence of progressive marrow failur, symptomatic splenomegaly or lymphendenopathy, and significant B symptoms. Otherwise, we recommend monitoring for an indolent process.

So what do I do? Wait, until I get sicker and die?

Hi @reneebarber77

So I’ve been researching on lymphoma for a couple weeks because a friend of mine has multiple symptoms. He will get test results today and I’m trying to be proactive in case the results show lymphoma I want him to be prepared and have options. I stumbled across this website, https://blog.essense-of-life.com/ionic-mineral-supplements/#.Y8kjwSVOklQ while browsing for “lymphoma survivors”. I read that you’re on the watch and wait and want to know what you can do in the meantime. This site actually gives really good tips on supplements and nutrition. I’m thinking if you’re on a watch and wait, this can hopefully help you stay in ranges that won’t accelerate the cancer growth. It seems like some work will need to be put forth with nutrition and supplementation, but if it can slow the growth, it’s worth trying. I hope this helps🙏🏻

When considering complementary or alternative treatments, be open-minded yet skeptical. Learn about the potential benefits and risks. I'm particularly skeptical about websites that are not from a trusted medical authority and the website also sells the product they promote. There is an inherit bias in the link shared above.

Here are my favorite, evidence-based, trusted websites to verify or dispute the claims of products:

From Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)

I will be having a biopsy soon, she ordered one just do not know when it is. But thank you, I feel a little more relieved. I was being a bit dramatic, and annoyed. I appreciate your comment.

Hi @reneebarber77, I’ve been wondering how you’re feeling (emotionally and physically) ☺️ and if you had the biopsy. Was there any confirmed diagnosis for CLL?
