@kellyaboh, I'm glad to see that you're offering this free summit. However, it's too bad there are so few to no options for remote participants.
@flusshund Thank you for your comment! We would love to have you join us virtually. All three keynotes are available virtually and two of the breakout sessions are virtual as well. (Complimentary Therapies and Healing Together) Breakout session three is the only one we can not offer virtually. If you click on register, there is an option to select virtual.
In hope, Kelly
Thank you for your work @kellyaboh!
@kellyaboh, and thank you for telling us about this summit! As someone who is paying roughly $17,000/mo for my Tagrisso, I'm bummed that I can't attend the Financial Toxicity presentation, which would be my first choice for the 1st breakout session. And, as someone who regularly contributes to GO2 and has already written 3 letters to my legislators regarding cuts to NIH funding, my first choice for the 2nd breakout session would be 'Your Voice and the Policy Process'.
I admit I'm somewhat spoiled in working for a company that offers all meetings as hybrid events for the benefit of the remote workers. I'm currently teaching a class at work myself and had 38 attendees to the first session, only 5 of whom were in the room with me. Several were in other states. My in-laws live 2 hours from Minneapolis, but I'd need more than 10 days to schedule a visit. Maybe a note for future summits?
Nonetheless, thank you for making some of the summit available to remote advocates, and I'm looking forward to attending!
