lung cancer has spread to brain

Posted by curiouskitty @curiouskitty, 4 days ago

Hello.
My lung cancer has spread to brain. I will be having radiation tomorrow using TrueBeam technology. I was told side effects should be minimal if any. Are there others who have used this treatment. I’m nervous about it!

@rlf66 that's a wonderful outcome.
Unfortunately I have DDD with chronic daily pain.
Referred to pain management.
This has been an issue for me for over 2 years now.

The gammaknife treatments were painless for me. And did help to shrink the first tumor found.
Second was needed due to another lesion and a few scattered seeds. Now waiting on follow up mri.

@loribmt thank you for sharing, this gives us all a lot of hope to overcome this. We used to travel a lot until I started having issues with my walking gait. My husband keeps on planning future trips but I’m a little reserved until my walking issues improve. Really hope to get back to traveling normal again.

@panda2ac I just keep staying as positive as I can.
Research and treatments have come very far these days 😊
I do what I can day by day
