Anyone know how to discontinue low dose Naltrexone?
Hi. Does anyone know how to discontinue low dose Naltrexone.I have been on for 9 months- presently on 4.5 mg dose and my long Covid symtoms persist. Just trying to figure out if it needs to be tapered or can just be stopped. Thanks so much.

With that long of a time frame I suspect it will be best to taper.. The prescribing physician should advise.
Didn't work for me either.

1 ReactionI am hoping to try LDN next!
Midrodine and Fludrocortisone didn’t work for me…
Ask your doc the best way to taper off.
I’ve been on LDN for 10 years and have gone off briefly twice. I had no withdrawal issues at all. Most people go off briefly before having surgery with no problems since naltrexone is an opiate antagonist.
I went back on only because the pain I was taking it for returned after about 3 or 4 days. There shouldn’t be an issue but you could check with the pharmacist who fills it or your doctor to be sure .
Thanks so much!
