Love in the broken/aged/mature people we are

Realize as I read these entries how much real, self sacrificing true love is among this group. The soul wrenching, walk through fire love for those we love despite everything . Prayers for all.

If the roles were reversed my husband would be with me 100% so I believes he deserves the same from me. As hard as it might be there are good times still. Of course I want the man back I married, yes it is heartbreaking and stressful but we just plod along.😍

Yes. Remember the good times and cherish each as it comes along. My husband forgets things sometimes, and I would be lying if I said it isn’t frustrating. But which would I prefer? A husband who forgets things, or none at all? I opt for the former, hard as may sometimes be. And I count my blessings every single day. I bet you do, too.

@mamqtz Your post today is beautiful and will be much appreciated! Thank you. I hope your journey with cancer continues to have good outcomes. Is there anything that Caretakers could help you with today?

Knowing that I'm not the only caretaker acting as never before. I identify with so much presented. This community understands and accepts me as I am. Thanks.

I too miss the man I marred…my husband of 33 years with Parkinson’s for 20 years.
