Loosing hope that my chronic pain will end.
I’m finding myself completely overwhelmed and hopeless. I’m tired of endless dr appointments and no relief. I hurt my back 15 years ago and was told it was just bruised. Fast forward now my pain is severe. It has always been for the most part in the center but has at some points been lower. Now it’s in my neck and all through my rt shoulder and down my arm. I’m not sleeping well. Tired of being in pain with no answers. I have had multiple MRI and X-rays. I changed my back dr because he was concentrating on my lower back pain and that’s not where my worse pain is. Now my dr thinks it’s my neck and X-rays showed nothing. Waiting till my appointment next week for arm then will most likely be sent for MRI. All while waiting for biopsy in two weeks to see if have breast cancer. Just tired of the pain and feeling like it won’t end.

I’m sorry to hear this. I understand as I went through similar. If you have not yet, please read up on neuroplastic pain. And read Ron Gordon’s book titled No Way Out. Life changing in many ways. Also, Harold Schubinar just released a book titled Unlearn Your Pain. There is an app / service called Lin Health that I was prescribed when I saw a neurosurgeon at Mayo Clinic. You should try to get into that. My insurance paid for it, sending you warm recovery thoughts. 💕

sharing a bit of my story, and yes! Had many a night where I begged and pleaded to God to please let me not wake up.
2 hours sleep was max, pain was 15, 4 advils every 4 hours just to take the worst 10% off, writhing pain up and down legs and spine that went so deep that if the trigger point injections stopped working, it was time for an ultrasound guided pain shot deep into pelvic area.
Kept Radnet busy for years.
Psychosomatic pain is a very real, very scientific thing.
But there is a way, an answer for many.
Please get the book, cheap copies all over and read just chapters 6-8 if nothing else, because I am a totally totally different person than last year.
Gone: cane. Pain doc pain pills appts with a kajillion specialists endless laborious MRI's (I have 25 files at Radnet), CT's PET scans Xrays blah blah freakin blah.
Couldnt drive nor shop nor walk more than handicap spot to store and back and that was it for the day if lucky.
Now go nonstop drive whenever I like am seriously considering starting running at 57, after being bedbound for two years, and am slowly recapturing a life was sure was over as it stood.
So please don't lose hope (and for anyone else that sees this).
God is good.
Mark

I take Tylenol & Tramadol. The Tylenol is not really strong enough.
Have you changed your diet in any way?
@marky777 Thanks Mark, it sounds hopeful and promising. I will definitely get it.
Please do! I was amazed reading the doctors talk about their patients, how scans no matter what they show, don't diagnose pain.
That it comes and goes and moves around sometimes, because it is a defense mechanism from previous emotional/psychological damage regardless of source, from losing a job to a childhood full of abuse, dealt with one and the other folded up shop and went home.
Just saying not many ppl voluntarily walk out of a pain docs office after 17 years.
She told me they never get better always worse.
Btw she agreed 100% with the book.
@kayraymat I lost 30 lbs I only weigh 150
Hi. I know that feeling (wondering if it’ll ever end). I’ve been on the journey for quite some time. Peaks and valleys, lots of valleys!!!! Lots of lonely days, accompanied by pain. I want to help but I won’t mislead you. You may be able to help me. Let me know if you’d like to talk. Honest real straight talk.
